About Me
My Story
I have always had a fascination with the function of the body. Growing up as an athlete and experiencing many injuries, I was interested in pursuing a career in physical therapy. However, 3 years into studying, I realized I wanted to deepen my understanding of the function of the mind as well and entered into the world of psychology. I received my B.S. in Psychology in 2013, but yearned for a path that would connect the functions of the body and mind together. After some research, I became interested in learning massage therapy and began my personal yoga practice. It seemed like the perfect mix of my passions for physical therapy and psychology. I began massage therapy school and became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2016. Shortly after, I received my first Thai Massage and immediately fell in love with the effectiveness of massage combined with stretch therapy. My passion for yoga and massage pushed me to pursue my certification in Thai Massage & Bodywork in 2017.
During this time, I suffered a great loss and was deeply grieving. My own massage therapist noticed how heavy my energy was and suggested I try Reiki. I was slightly skeptical and didn’t know much about it, but I opened myself up to it anyway. I was willing to try anything to feel better. This experience was a turning point in my life as it opened my eyes to the spiritual side of healing. I left that session feeling lighter with peace in my heart. It was the first time in months that I felt the clouds of grief separate and I was able to see the light. After this amazing experience, I wanted to learn how to bring this feeling of hope to others. I studied under a Master Teacher of the Usui Shiki Ryoho lineage of Reiki and obtained my first level certification in 2017, and my second level certification in 2018.
Yoga has been instrumental in my own healing journey. As someone who has experienced trauma and struggled with anxiety, and depression; yoga helped bring me back to myself. I learned how much emotion and trauma I was storing in my body without being aware of it. Yoga gave me the tools to become aware of this and helped me find balance by teaching me ways to release this stored energy. The more I practiced being mindful and grounded, the better I felt. I wanted to continue sharing these beautiful healing modalities so I pursued yoga teaching school and received my, Yoga Alliance approved, 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification in the beginning of 2020.
In 2023, my spiritual practice deepened by entering a Shamanic Healing Apprenticeship. Currently, I am studying principles of the Lakota traditions, but will be expanding into other Native American cultures in the future. I am highly connected with and inspired by these traditions and my healing sessions are heavily influenced by these techniques.
The connection of mind, body, and spirit has been the biggest catalyst in my own healing journey and I hope to guide others to find that connection within themselves as well.

When I am not doing this healing work, I love to spend time with my husband, Nick, our German Shepherd, Raven, and our Orange Tabby Cat, Chi. I enjoy adventuring in nature, doing yoga, listening to & making music, working on macrame projects, bingeing a good TV show, listening to audiobooks and spending time with friends :)
